2nd Annual Utah Campus Safety Summit
hosted by the Department of Public Safety

Day 1 – Open to the public. In person and virtual option.
Wed., March 20, 2024 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Join the campus communities from around the state to explore important and relevant topics affecting campus safety for all users, explore future trends, and discuss new approaches to campus safety that are making a difference. Some topics that will be addressed include hazing, engaging international students, interpersonal violence, free speech on campus, safety and security for large stadium events, and innovative approaches to mental health.

Day 2 – Registration open only to first responders.
Thurs., March 21, 2024 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Join first responders from campus and municipal communities from around the state to explore important and relevant topics affecting campus safety for all users, explore future trends, and discuss new approaches to campus safety that are making a difference. Some topics that will be addressed include local and national criminal case studies, threat assessments, and partner approaches to mental health solutions.

This annual conference is an opportunity to bring together our diverse campus communities to improve the safety and security on all our state’s educational campuses. It will explore important and relevant topics effecting campus safety for all users, explore future trends, and discuss new approaches to campus safety that are making a difference.

Check out the video shown at last year’s conference which highlighted the significant changes that have occurred at DPS since the tragic murder of Lauren McCluskey in 2018.
